FC Arizona’s Desert Soccer Performance was Founded by Uchenna Uzo, a professional soccer player. The focus of this soccer program is to engage children in soccer by building confidence, and creating a fun environment that kids can’t resist.

Our professional coaches have been playing soccer since the time they could walk. For them, soccer is not just about the game itself, it’s about friendship and mentorship. Through soccer your children will develop close friendships and learn to connect with others on-field and off-field.

Our soccer camp will provide your family with lasting memories. Children will work in groups and one-on-one with top-level soccer coaches. We want this experience to be as memorable as possible.

Coaches

Andy Williams is the current Technical Director of FC Arizona.

Following a four-year stint at the University of Rhode Island (1994 – 1997) where Williams remains the team’s all-time leading scorer, with 52 goals and 45 assists, he joined Major League Soccer in 1998 with the Columbus Crew and enjoyed an extraordinarily successful career as a midfielder for the Miami Fusion, New England Revolution, NY/NJ MetroStars, Chicago Fire, and Real Salt Lake. Over that period, Williams scored 27 goals and added 78 assists. The apex of his professional journey occurred during Real Salt Lake’s MLS Championship year in 2009.  Throughout his professional days, Williams was also a stalwart for the Jamaican National Team, playing in the 1998 World Cup and competing for his country for 2002, 2006, and 2010 CONCACAF qualifying campaigns.  In that time, he scored 13 goals and 27 assists.  Williams retired as a player in 2011.

Uchenna Uzo currently holds a license as a C-level Soccer Coach. He was born and raised in Nigeria where he played soccer from the time he could walk. Uchenna attended Coastal Carolina University where he competed as a division 1 soccer player while earning his degree in economics. He has been playing soccer professionally for over 5 years and has also earned his MBA in business management.

FC Arizona’s Desert Performance Series will also be coached by FC Arizona’s professional men’s and women’s players.
